DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES—2007-08
Department of Physical Education has conducted Basketball coaching camp for our college students in the college grounds from 10th April, 2007 to 18th June, 2007. 20 students joined the camp and attended the coaching regularly.
- Sports material worth of Rs.17, 254 /- was purchased for the academic year 2007-08.
- The Hyderabad District Basketball Association conducted the Annual League championship at YMCA, Secunderabad.
- For the first time our college team took part in the tournament and our college team has topped in Group “E” in all League matches and entered the knockout round of the tournament.
- The Department has conducted the college cricket team selections for both Inter and Degree students on 1st and 2nd August, 2007 to select the college cricket teams for the academic year 2007-08
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES—2008-09
To conduct Basket-Ball summer coaching camp in the month of April/May- 2008 in our college ground. At the end of the coaching camp to encourage the learners we are also planning to conduct a Basket- Ball tournament.
- On the Orientation Day of the Inter Students (14th June, 2008) an Exhibition match in Basket-Ball will be organized between INTER 1st Year boys & 2nd INTER students.
- A similar match will be Organized between Degree 1st Year & 2nd , 3rd Degree students on 21st June 08.
- Since our College has a strong Basket- Ball team, we are planning to participate in as many tournaments as possible not only in the city, but also both at State level and National levels.
- To invite other college teams to play friendly matches with our college team at our grounds at least twice a month, so that our college students will be encouraged.
- To Organize STATE LEVEL Basket- Ball Tournament in our College ground from October 20th to 25th 2008 between 2p.m to 6p.m.
- Special coaching camp in Basket-ball everyday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm by a qualified coach.
- College Sports Day Celebrations on November 29th 2008.
- To participate in all O.U. Inter Collegiate Tournaments conducted by University and U/I9 Years Inter College Tournaments for Intermediate students conducted by Hyderabad District Junior Colleges Sports and Games Association.
- Participation in all Cricket Tournaments conducted by Hyderabad Cricket Association. And other Organizations.
