The students of Biochemistry have attended an awareness programme, Environment- Climatic changes, conducted by the Environment Cell of the Forest Department ,Government of AP in collaboration with he Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) on 20th and 21st of June,2009. It was a two day session.
On the first day, there were a few guest lectures delivered by some eminent personalities in the field. Amongst them, the PPT given by Mr. P. Raghuveer, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Govt. of AP, was the most inspiring. This was followed by group discussions.
On the second day, there was a few heart touching testimonies given by the farmers.
This was followed by the speeches from the NGOs and the participants.
As responsible youth of the Nation the Students pledged themselves to prevent climatic changes for a better life and a better tomorrow. |
