On Sunday,16th of November “ THE FRENCH CLUB MEET” was organized by the Department of French, St.Mary’s College, Yousufguda. Students of French, from different Colleges like Villa Mary, St.Ann’s, FITJEE, St.Mary’s himaythnagr and Sri  Chaitanya were invited to participate in the meet. All the students were welcomed with a broad smile and a warm shake hand with a greeting card  by our greeters team. The show commenced with an enlightening speech by Mr.Ravi from the Osmania University, Department of French, who brought to light the advantage of learning French as a language which is the Lingua-franca of Europe. Department of French from St.Ann’s was represented by Ms. Majula together with the students. The hostess and the host  of the day Ms. Fizza-Inter  of Ist year and Yaseeruddin-Inter IInd year kept the show lively by their crisp but polite comments.  

Dev Sahani, a student of MPC 1st year spoke on the Importance of French Language, following which the St. Mary’s Band played a melodious song in French, “Allouette”. French recitation of poems by Yaseeruddin Inter IInd year was another highlight of the event. The participants and the audience were kept entertained throughout by the hilarious jokes by Imran of B.sc Ist year and a Ball dance by Keertana and group.          Games were held at the cafeteria where all the students participated and prizes were given to the winners .Refreshments were served. To give the menu a French touch, “ Croissant” (French snack) was  also served. The program came to an end with lots of fun and frolic and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Sapna, Lecturer in French, also the organizer of the event.
