In accordance with its objectives – To contribute towards the holistic Development of the students, the Department has planned to conduct co-curricular competitions, which would help them to rekindle their latent talents. In this regard the following competitions were held from 11th August ’09 to 13th August ’09. Open Debate – Advancement of Technology-Boon or Bane. In this event the teams had to first present their views on the topics either for or against the advancement in Technology. Later the session was open for Debate. The event was very intense with the heated arguments that went on between the teams. The USP of the event was the questions bombarded by the audience to the teams for which they had to justify their stand. The event was won by the team from I B.Com Advertising Stream comprising of Naaz, Harshitha, Nisarudddin and Ravi Teja. Power point Presentation on the topic – Innovations in Indian Banking System.
This competition was held to give a scope to the students to enhance their presentation skills which are of utmost need in the corporate world today. It will also facilitate in boost up the confidence level of the students. The students gave their presentations with great composure and their presentations were quite informative and interesting. The First Prize for this event was bagged by Ethishree And Armaan Farid ( II B.Com) and for the second Prize there was a tie between Sabahat ( II B.Com, Advt), and Abhishek and Yogesh ( I B.Com, Advt), JAM session on current topics. The winners for the event were Naaz ( I B.Com, Advt), and Kailash ( I B.Com). The students from I Inter and I B.Com took part enthusiastically and as all the events were team events these events have also contributed towards building team spirit in them.
