The Department of Commerce and Languages had taken a joint initiative for the community service on 2nd August to "Ashritha", Home for underprivileged a voluntary organization.

'Ashritha' was started under National Labor Act in the year 2001. The organization with the strength and support from government aid and donations from private concerns has come forward to help the helpless and orphan children with their basic needs of shelter and education. 81 school going children lead their lives under the shelter of 'Ashrita'.

Student about 60 in strength along with six lecturer visited the 'Ashrita' campus in Kompally by private vehicles and a bus sponsored by a student. The 2nd and 3rd years students of Commerce Departments had successfully organized different events for the children there like dance competition, singing competition and games, surprise gifts were given to the winners of all the events. Besides these gifts other items like copies, pencil boxes, biscuits, chocolates, soaps, sanitary items fruit juice and rice bags etc were also donated. 

Thus the eventful day came to an end with a lunch sponsored by the students again.
