The Department of Economics in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics had organized a visit to Sweekar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences on the 1^st of August, 2009. Besides Secunderabad it has its branches at Kadapa, Tandur and Guntur. This is an organization which caters to the needs of physically challenged children. It has 25 teachers in all out of which 15 teachers are trained to handle the special children. Children pass through 5 stages namely Pre-Primary, The students were really moved with the heart rending scenes. “Aishu” the tiny tot became an instant favorite among the children. There was this little boy who could identify a ‘Tamatar’, ‘Bhindi’, Baingan’ and ‘Khaif’ when clicked on a mobile. The students were transported to a different world for a change, which they spent happily and amicably. They also contributed generously and distributed some gifts and eatables.
