Department of Computer Science organized a visit to DESIRE SOCIETY situated at Bollaram on 2nd August 2008 as a part of Community Service to inculcate social and moral values amongst the students.
“DESIRE SOCIETY” was established by group of young and educated people in the year 2004 and it was registered in 2005.It is a non governmental organization functioning with an objective of health development and well being of people living with HIV/AIDS in India.
Students about 35 in strength along with the department members visited the society. Transportation was sponsored by students of BSC [MSCS] 2nd year. Students contributed voluntarily. Gifts and other items like pens, pencils, sketch pens, pencil boxes, chocolates, cake, books, buckets, toys, old clothes etc were also donated. Students also conducted some entertainment program for them.
The day ended with satisfaction for the members of the staff & students. They also expect to continue this kind of visits in future.
