The Bio technology department had a lecturer on Cancer Biology by Dr. A. UDAYSHANKAR (MBBS, MSc, MTecH, Phd.,)  He emphasized on hallmarks of cancer, classification, features of a cancer cell, various terms associated, causes, which can be sporadic and familiar, with many examples. He explained about cancer epidemiology, analytical epidemiology, the various preventive risk factors, the treatment modalities. Finally the best prevention he believed as he said was “The happier you are, the better immure system works.” He spoke on the effects of in take of Tobacco which would further make them suffer, he insisted on practicing yoga, increase the intake of ginger, garlic in the diet which can lead to cancer free life.
