The Department of Biochemistry had organized a Guest Lecture on 31-08-2010. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Kiran Kumar, Scientist, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, (IICT) was very inspiring and motivated the students towards research. He explained the concepts of “Various Cellular Targets of Diseases and their Control Measures”- a process in which the cells themselves act as infection attractants. It was fascinating to know how the humans own cells act as targets for the diseases which include Bacterial, Viral, and Parasitic infections.Mr. Kiran Kumar imparted his knowledge towards the career prospects. He enlightened on various fields of Biochemistry which the students could pursue as their career.
