As a part of the Annual ritual of St. Mary's to give back to the society in their own way the Department of Biotechnology spend a day with the inmates of the Home for Disabled and Destitutes in Secunderabad.  Home for destitudes is a non-profit & non political organisation that serves the people who are abandoned by the family, due to many reasons.Students voluntarily took part in this event, they  contributed in cash and kind  towards the organisation.The students interacted with many people there and consoled them. Such efforts are made by the department to sensitise the present generation about the social, human and ethical values in life.
