The Department of Commerce has organized a Guest Lecture for the students of III year B.com on the topic, “Vouching” in the subject of Auditing. The Resource person was Dr.K.V.RamanaMurthy, Lecturer in commerce in VijayaNagar College of Commerce, Masabtank, Hyderabad.

Mr. Ramana Murthy is a Doctrate and a very scholarly person with 4 M. Phils to his credit. He presented 28 research papers in various seminars and conferences, of these few papers were noted as best papers by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and other institutes of respect and renown. He is also an Executive member of Hyderabad Chapter of Indian Accounting Association.

He has written many articles on commerce subject, of those 29 were published in different journals and periodicals. His lectures on interview skills are very popular.

The Speaker gave a very good presentation on the various types of vouchers.  He threw light on the vouchers which are not acceptable by the auditor. He explained the concepts of planning the program of vouching. He explained vouching of cash transactions, Trade transactions, and purchase of fixed assets and declaration of dividend.
