As a part of the curriculum program & to enhance the practical awareness of the various subjects, the Department of Commerce conducted a Guest Lecture for the students of the B.Com final year on 26th August, 2010 on the topic – “Income Tax & its aspects”. A very eminent & noted academician, former principal of Badruka College of Commerce well as popular among the students of the twin cities & author of the Income Tax book Mr. H. Prem Raja delivered the lecture to the students of the B.Com final year. The lecture started off covering with the basic core & elementary concepts of Income Tax. The speaker was a good orator & gave several live practical examples relevant to the tax concepts. He was also keen in making the students understand the filing of returns. The session gave a thorough insight to the practical approach to the various taxation problems from the examination point of view. The program was ever more interesting as it was as interactive session. The students were   highly engrossed  & captivated by the lecture as it dealt with the current practical examples pertaining to the various sectors. They also put across their element of doubts to seek clarification of the subject regarding filing of returns & other aspects. The session gave a broad overview of the various aspects of Income Tax & its relevance.
