The Department of Economics observed ‘World Population Day ‘by organizing a competition on the theme “World Population’ on the 14th of July at 9:45 a.m. in the Computer Lab. It was an attempt to create awareness among the intermediate students about various characteristic features of world’s population. Three groups of students presented their views on the theme ‘World Population’ through Power-Point presentations.&<60;&<60;The presentations were judged by Mrs. Revathy (Faculty, Commerce Dept.), Mrs. Madhavi (H.O.D. Physical sciences Dept., Inter In-charge) and Mrs. Nidhi (Faculty, Economics Department). It was observed that all the three groups did justice to the theme and came out with different ideas on the theme. Such events indirectly boost the confidence of the students to come out with different ideas and develop a true and fair sense of competition among them. We hope to conduct such events in future too and give students a chance to come forward and share their knowledge.
