The Department of English conducted a guest lecture on 27th July for I yr Degree students. The resource person was Dr.Sunitha Aianna, Asst Professor, Dept of English, Koti Women’s College, Osmania University.

She began her discourse on the effectiveness of communication skills with a special reference to ‘Verbal and Non- verbal Communication.’ She also discussed the LSRW skills in English which play an important role in every aspect of English language. Then she emphasised on the significance of vocabulary in the usage of language. She dealt with the pronunciation of words and involved the students in correct pronunciation of certain words. She ended the session with a question – answer round.  

On the whole, the discourse was an eye opener to many students and has left a deep impact on their minds
