A workshop on “Personal Effectiveness” was conducted by Dr. T. Joseph Christadoss, Lecturer in English for the Lecturers in the College on 4^th March,2011. The workshop was organized by the Dept. of English. Some activities based on communication etc were organized which was attended and well received by all the lecturers present. Dr Joseph talked about the importance of understanding ourselves before passing judgment on others and their situations. As teachers everyone should be open to the ‘paradigm shift’ in order to be effective, he averred. Quoting from Aristotle, he also said that efficiency should not be an act but a habit.
