PURPOSE
The Department of Mass Communication at St. Mary’s College organized a community service for the BA (Mass Comm) students on 31st July 2010. This initiative was aimed making the students aware of Freedom Foundation, an NGO located in Bolarum area of Hyderabad which works for the rehabilitation of HIV+ positive children.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- The students were made to understand the problems faced by HIV+ children and that spending some time with them makes them happy and cheerful.
- The jubilation of the children and the students was very heartening to witness. It was a learning experience for the students as this was the first time they met children infected by HIV.
