The department of Political Science organized a community service programme on 31^st of July 2011,Saturday.  The Department of Political Science and the National Service Scheme   Unit of St Mary” s College organized  community service to create awareness among the students, the importance of humanity and make them realize that they can make a difference in someone’s life with little gesture of love , affection and empathy.    We visited Thara foundation Bowenpally, a home for 65 orphan children. We organized some game and cultural activities for them . We shared   lunch with them and spent quality time interacting with them. We provided   whole year stationery for the children and snacks along with Rs5000 cash   to meet their other expenses.   It was a wonderful experience spending the day with them , sharing their ideas and views .
