Events at Prerna 2009
As a part of “Prerna” - educational and cultural fest, the Department of Computer Science conducted ‘Hourglass – Looking Beyond Technology’ on 20th November 2009. The chief purpose of organizing this event is to bring students from various colleges together and explore their potential and share their views and talents in the sphere of science and technology.With this motto Hourglass was organized and students from various colleges from twin cities actively participated in the event. There were two events organized related to hardware and software.
1.      What’s your Tech Q?
2.      TechnoHolic.
The first event - “What’s your Tech Q?” was a quiz with three rounds of elimination. The first round was a computer quiz, from which 5 teams were send for the next round which was to identify the hardware fault with a computer system and correct them The first three teams completed this round and send for the last round which was OS installation. And the winners for the event were:
M.Mahesh Kumar & Syed Siddiq(Railway Degree College, Tarnaka)
B.Sainath & D.Hanumantha Rao(Aurora’s Degree College, Chikkadpally)

The second event –“TechnoHolic” was a fashion show with display of minimum three electronic gadgets and they also had to speak about each gadget in one minute. The event was judged by Mr. Piyush DEO, Bajaj Electronics.
The winners of the event were:
Mansoor(St Mary’s College, Yousufguda)
DigVijay (Aurora’s Degree College, Chikkadpally)

These events gave students an ample opportunity to display their capabilities, apprehensions and inhibitions.
