A quiz in Economics was organized on Friday the 20^th of November,    by the Department as a part of” Prerana “, an inter- collegiate fest organized by  St. Mary’s College, Yousufguda, Hyderabad.   The quiz had two rounds, the Preliminary and the Final Round. Two participants constituted a team. Eight teams participated in the Preliminary Round which was a written round. Four teams qualified for the finals. The qualifying teams included two from St. Mary’s College and one team each from St. George’s  Degree College and Aurora College Each team had eight quizzical rounds followed by a visual round in the Finals.  They participated with enthusiasm and zeal. It ended with team ‘C’ of  St. Mary’s College emerging victorious. The competition for the Second place  Was very tough raging among the other teams facing a tie.   St. Mary’s College yet again emerged  victorious with team ‘A’ winning the Second spot The Winners-- Team ‘C’---- G. Vasavilatha and Varsha Meena Kumari  (St. Mary’s College,Yousufguda, Hyderabad. The Runners--- Team ‘A’ ---- Payal Maskara and Mohd. Yasseruddin Khan St. Mary’s College,Yousufguda, Hyderabad). The report will be incomplete with out a mention of the quiz master Mrs. Anju Prasad. There was never a dull moment with her at the helm of things. The spectators were vying to be the first ones to give the correct answers. In fact some of the St. Marians regretted for not having participated. They lamented the lost opportunity.
