The Department of English visited Devnar Blind School at Begumpet, Don Bosco Orphanage at Ramanthpur and Freedom Foundation at Secunderabad on  1^st August 2009 as a part of Community service. The members and the students of the Department of English joined the Department of Commerce, Mass Com and Life Science and encouraged the students to join for the noble cause. 

More than hundreds of students joined the three groups on 1^st August for Community Service. Both the staff and students of the Department of English interacted and spent quality time with the children in Orphanage and Blind School. The Department of English with the contribution of students and staff distributed foods and other necessary articles like fans, clothes etc. And all the staff and students spent the day learning lessons of life and in turn encouraged the blind and orphan children. So it was a wonderful life transforming experience for all.
