CollegeThe Department of English conducted a “Quiz Competition” on  18th of August, 2009 as their second event for the academic year 2009-2010. The topics were related to politics, current affairs, sports, history etc. Altogether, fourteen teams of two each both from Intermediate and Degree participated in the Preliminary Elimination round. which was conducted on 17th of August 2009.Six teams got qualified for the main Quiz. Mrs. Olivia Lazarus, Head of the Department of English took initiative in conducting the Preliminary round. The Main Quiz was conducted the next day i.e, 18th of August 2009 in the Theatrix  at 2:30 p.m. It had two rounds -  the question  answer round and the visual round. The given time limit was 40 minutes. Mr. Ebenezer, the senior most lecturer of the Department of English was the Quiz Master. Before the event began, he briefed up all the teams about the rules of  the quiz All the teams  participated very enthusiastically.. At the
end of the event, the results were announced.

The winners were Md .Yasseruddin Khan of B.COM. IC and U.Ramakrishna Teja of B.SC MECS I  and the runners  were Shoaib Ahmed Khan and Sujatha Malik of B.SC MECS I.
