The Department of Mathematics, Statistics & English, jointly decided to observe an awareness program on “World Literacy Day” on 7th and 8th Sep, 2009 . To mark the day, all the three departments encouraged all the Degree and Intermediate students to participate in Collage Competition. The topic for Collage Competition was “Literacy Day”. On 7th Sep 2009 Collage Competition for both Degree and Intermediate was organized. Students in good number participated in the Collage Competition.
The winners of the Collage Competition were announced on the following day, on 8th Sep 2009.
The First prize of the collage competition was given to Sarat . K from B.SC MSCS- II year.
And the second prize was given to Swathi . K from BA MassCom-I
On 8th Sep 2009, all the three departments again came together to contribute for the development of the society. So the three departments jointly decided to teach basics (like good manners, how to check fake currency and how to write names in Telugu and English) to the housekeeping with the help of lecturers and students of all the three departments. On the same day, all the three departments along with the students decided that every Friday after 1.20 pm they all would meet in cafeteria to offer their help to teach the housekeeping. |
