 Workshop on Haematology and Instrumentation |

The Workshop was inaugurated by Dean, Principal and Inter- in-charge. This was the first workshop conducted for the intermediate students. Resource person for the workshop was Mrs. Shailima Vardhini, Head of Dept.of Biochemistry, St. Mary’s College. The Students learned to find out their blood group and also to estimate the amount of Hb present. They also learned the procedure and the chemicals used to extract starch from potato. They could differentiate gm – ve and gm + ve bacteria using Gram staining technique.
A demonstration on equipments like pH meter, Hb-meter, Centrifuge, Laminar air flow chamber etc was given. Note pads, pens, material and snacks were distributed to the students. Workshop was concluded by the distribution of certificates by the Dean.
