In the beginning of the academic year 2010-11, the members of the club decided to conduct three events to hone the reading, writing and dramatic skills of our students at St. Mary’s College. As decided, the Literary Club organized a Story writing competition on 8^th of July 2010 to nurture the writing skills of both Degree and Intermediate students. The topic – “To err is human ,to forgive divine” was announced well in advance  on 6^th of  July 2010.All the interested students were asked to write a story within 300 words and were instructed to submit it  by 8^th of July 2010.  Many students from both Degree Intermediate participated enthusiastically.  Mrs.Ruchira Mitra, a member of Literary Club spared her valuable time to be the judge for the competition. The Results were declared after two days. Surabhi Udas (II B.A MASS COM) backed the first prize and  Rachel Evita Ezekie l(II B.A MASS COM)  and Mikhail Anthony Dmello (I B.SC MECS) backed the second Prize.
