Replenishment of CAMY
Commerce Association of Young Minds
CAMY (Commerce Association of Young Minds) is the commerce club for the students of B.Com and Inter (Arts group). The main aim of the club is to help the students to overcome their inhibitions, develop their personality and also to hone their skills viz. planning, organizing, managing, etc. These members of CAMY will be the student coordinators for all the events of the Dept of Commerce. Field trip, seminars, etc. organized for them also give them the necessary exposure. Every year new members from the Iyr Inter ( CEC & MEC) and Iyr Degree (B.Com) are enrolled into CAMY on the basis of various competitions.

The Senior CAMY members first started awareness among the freshers about CAMY and encouraged them to be a part of the club. Then the enthusiastic ones were asked to register their names with their respective Accounts Lecturers before 5th Aug. On 6th Aug all the students were asked to assemble in L.H.301 and were explained about the rules and advantages of being a member of CAMY and the exposure which they get. Vedika of III B.Com told the students about her experience as a CAMY member and how this specification of being a CAMY member in her resume has helped her in getting an internship.

On 7th Aug a Personal Interview round was conducted where the students had to introduce themselves, speak about their aspiration, why they wanted to be a member of CAMY and had to answer the questions asked by the Selection Panel comprising of  H.O.D. , Dept of Commerce, Members of the Department and a few senior CAMY members. On 10th Aug another competition Speaks your Mind was conducted to test the spontaneity, confidence and G.K of the students. Here the students had to speak about a general topic given on the spot and then justify their statement when cross questioned by the judges. There was a very good response from students who showed great enthusiasm and are eagerly looking forward to be members of CAMY.
