On 4th Dec 2010 an Alumni meet was held in the campus at St Mary’s college, Yousufguda. All the ex-students of both the degree and Intermediate , from the Himayathnagar branch as well as the Yousufguda branch were cordially invited for the alumni meet. The program was scheduled to begin at 2.30pm, but the alumni started pouring in from 1.30pm onwards. They were very eager to meet their contemporaries , their lecturers who taught them and also to see their campus of which once they were an integral part.
The alumni were asked to register themselves at the entrance and assemble in the theatrix. The program started at sharp 2.30pm with the welcome address by Mr. T. Joseph, senior faculty member from the Department of English. The alumni were welcomed in the campus and a brief report of the various activities undertaken by the alumni and further activities to be done were mentioned. This was followed by the Director’s address to the alumni and expressed his surprise his surprise at the huge turnout of the crowd at the meet.
To make the program a little lively and fun-loving a small game viz. “Passing the ball” was planned and organized, where, the ball was passed while the music is being played and when it stops the person with the ball has to pick a chit and has to perform accordingly. The winner of the game was Mr.Arun (batch 2007) from B.Sc. of St Mary’s College, Yousufguda. The Director, Mr.Mahender Reddy and gave away the prize to the winner and the audience cheered heartily.
After the game the Election of Representatives was done with the approval of the Bylaws. The briefing of which was given by Mr. T.Joseph. Interested member volunteers were called upon the dais and some were elected based on the voting. The posts nominated for the Alumni Committee and the names of the Office Bearers are listed below :

After the election of the alumni members, Commander V.N.Ajit Kumar, Dean of St Mary’s college addressed the alumni about the various activities to be conducted and it’s functioning. He also called for an open forum where the alumni can put forward their views so as to strengthen the alumni.The programme concluded by Mrs. Kavitha Thakur proposing vote of thanks followed by refreshments. It was an immense pleasure meeting all the previous batches of the alumni and the campus buzzed with all the old memories being recollected and refreshed with a wide smile and loads of happiness.
