About St. Mary's
St. Mary's Challenge
Being at St. Mary's is a challenge itself. For here is one institution which believes in holistic education for its students. At St. Mary's the students are always game for any challenge thrown at them, be it the orientation programme sessions or the Intra-departmental literacy and cultural activities, St. Mary's students lead from the front.

Equipped with perhaps the best and the most modern infrastructure ranging from the state-of-the art computer labs, mass communication labs to the ultra modern theatrix where seminars, workshops and guest lecturers are held, the St. Mary's campus itself is an inspiration for our students to put their best foot forward.

Backed by intellectually, competent faculty, morally upright and spiritually inspired management, students here display a high sense of self-discipline and the right proportion of patriotism.

Academics apart, St. Marians always keep the college flag flying high with their display of talent during the annual inter-collegiate fete "Prena". Adding to the multiple feathers in the cap is the Ragging Action Force (RAF) which although is headed by a faculty, is a part of the college activities volunteered by students to create awareness against ragging. Peer to peer counseling about the ill effects of ragging, is in the real sense of the word a challenge

St. Mary's College has incorporated Value Education through a Program known as Learning Beyond Curriculum  as part of its academic programme. The main objective is to develop the right set of values and skills much needed in life apart from the academic qualifications. These sessions are of great help in both corporate as well as personal life. Under this department around 16 short term certificate courses have been introduced to give that cutting edge to the students & the students are all set to add yet another feather to their cap as they emerge from this programme as individuals with high degrees of communication skills and ready to meet the requirements of the job market which is the need of the day.

Among the challenges taken up by the students are Community Service, AIDS Awareness, Environmental Awareness, Tree Planting, Blood Donation Camps and visits to the Home for the Aged etc..
