After a hectic academic schdule, at the fag end of the year, its been a tradition at St. Mary's College, Yousufguda, to let the hair loose for a day away from work, house and family and spend the time with the St. Mary's Family. The management of the college joins the members of the staff and all formalities take a back seat for this one day atleast. This year, the picnic was organized by the Staff  Secretary, Ms. Olivia Lazarus together with the co operation of the management to LEONIA HOLISTIC RESORT at the outskirts of the city near Shamirpet. All the members of the staff were in their high spirits and looked forward to spending a free day away from the tensions and regular hustle  bustle. Some of them boarded the bus at the college and others joined enroute. The drive to Lenoia was about an hour and a half which was spent enjoying by playing antakshari. The team reached the spot at around 11:00 Am and after they were first directed to a   spacious hall for the introductory games, the excitement began with the tour of the exotic place and ultra modern state of art infrastructure with the latest technology in this holistic resort, which also housed spa and swimming pools. Engulfed with flowering andmore than ordinary plants the place had a breathtaking  beauty.

The sprawling campus of the Resort is spread over 43 acres full of greenery and a good ambience. One of the striking  features of the resort is  the 4 floored Spa, the biggest in Asia with a saloon exclusive for ladies, gents and children. There are many swimming pools and one of them also has an aqua gym. There are spacious rooms and suites  with different packages. There are some special  suites meant only for couples with an attached lagoon. The Rock garden with an open-air stage adds to the ambience and aura of the place. Besides, there are many indoor and outdoor games. 
 
At 1 O clock   everyone had a sumptuous lunch and lip smacking desserts followed by sightseeing again &  then assembled in the lawn  at  4’0clock for high tea. After tea and the prize distribution many of the lecturers put on their sdancing shoes and put the dancing stage in the discotheque on fire, by shaking a leg to the latest hits,  which turned out to be the most exciting event of the day. After the most eventful day and having enjoyed the day to the maximum, the tired lot boarded the bus and came back fully satisfied and relaxed.
