International Day '11

The Departments of Physics and Electronics celebrated international day-World Space week on on 15th October 2011 and organized a field trip to the local Birla Planetarium with the intention of exposing the students to the practical world of science.
The planetarium also has a science museum and a Dinosaurium. By visiting the science museum, the students were able to relate the theoretical knowledge of classroom to the practical world. This is an innovative way of unconventional learning unlike the conventional one, keeping the students updated in this globalized world.
It was felt that Field trips like this not only motivate and bring out the hidden talents in students but also enhances the technical & behavioral skills and teamwork among students.
