The Departments of Physics and Electronics organized three events during Prerna – Just- A- Minute , Science Quiz and Power point presentation.
Just –A- Minute was conducted in Room no.303. We had overwhelming participation. The topic was given on the spot and the time given was one minute. The purpose of conducting Just a Minute is to enhance the knowledge and oral skills of students. The judge for the event was Mrs.Sowjanya , Head Dept. of Electronics and the prizes were given by Mrs.Sowjanya.
Science quiz was conducted in Englsh lab.The quiz master was Shoeb from III B.Sc (MECs). Due to Overwhelming response a screening test was conducted after which four teams were selected for finals. The teams included students from Aurora Degree college , Bhavan`s Vivekananda College and St.Mary’s college . There were three rounds of questions . Students had a choice of subject, based on which questions were asked. The last round was audio visual round- which the students enjoyed the most. The time keepers for the program were Mr.Ali and Ms.Shaheen of II BPC . The prizes for the winners and runners were given away by Mrs.Madhavi ,Head, Department of Physics.
The Power point presentations was conducted in theatrix. The topics included: 1) Robotics 2)Communication systems 3)Natural disasters-cause, effect and remedies. There was participation from students of various degree colleges. The competition is a team event and the duration was 10 minutes. Students made excellent presentations. The host for the program was Ms. Abhinetra of II MPC. The judge for the event was Mrs. Madhavi . The prizes for the Winning team and the runners were given away by the Heads of the departments of Physics and Electronics.
