Activity-4 Skit Competition
The Department of English conducted a skit competition on Wednesday, Sep 17, 2008 in Theatrix. There were four skits both from Degree and Intermediate and students  actively participated in the competition. The Skits were judged on the parameters like acting skills, dialogue clarity, moral message, costume, use of  props and theme.

The first skit “Doctor D J” was presented by an Intermediate group, MPC IInd year.

The actors of the skit  truly justified the script. The B.A Mass Com group presented the second skit titled “Eat to live ---- Do not live to eat”. The script, as the title suggests, would truly encourage the audience to lead a healthy life. The third skit is titled as “Classroom” which was presented by the MEC IInd year students. These thirteen students have really brought the classroom on stage with their appropriate use of props, and their comic timings have tickled the audience. The last group was again from Degree, students from Bcom 1C presented a serious skit highlighting the problems of young generation and the title of the skit “ Peer Pressure” represents the theme in the true sense.

The Skit competition came to an end with the declaration of the results. There were two prizes, first prize was for the best skit and the second prize was for the best actor. The skit “ Doctor DJ”, presented by the Intermediate students, was declared the best skit of the day. And the best actor was awarded to Pranav from BA Mass Com first year (for the skit “ Eat to live—Do not live to eat” ).  Certificates and the prizes of the event will be given during the college fest “Prerna”. The skit competition was a clubbed event with the literary club, because the members of the literary club and the co-ordinator, Ms. Lipika, also happen to be from the Department of English.
