On the 17th October 2008, the Department of Commerce observed the “International Day for Eradication of Poverty”. On account of this a debate competition was conducted among the students and the topic of debate was “India Is Rich, Indians Are Poor”. The students were highly impressed by the topic of debate and also seemed to be very confident. Many of them enrolled their names for the competition. Around 2:30 pm the competition was conducted in LH-301.
The event was judged by Mr. Ebenezer (HOD Dept of English) and Mr.K.T.Srinivas (HOD Dept of Political Science).
The competition began on a high note by the participants talking on the given topic very excitedly, proving their view, ideas, measures and pros and cons. It was a wonderful and fruitful venture to the participants as they had to justify the stand they opted for. The judges were highly impressed by the performance of the participants and concluded the event by giving them valuable suggestions so as to improve and perfect their skills as well as abilities in such regard in the long run.
The competition came to an end with the judge’s declaration of results and the winners receiving accolades for their performances. . |
