A meet was organised by the Department of II Language. All the students of St. Mary's having French, Hindi, Sanskrit or Arabic as their second language participated in this event. The program commenced with the college song.
Students of Hindi as their second language sang a hindi song, few of them recited self written poems, others did a mime show.
Students of French Language sang a French group song, recited a French poem and translated it into English. A story was narrated in Arabic by the students of Arabic a skit was enacted. Students of Sanskrit Language recited Shlokas from the BHAGAVAT GITA and sang a song in sanskrit.
Faculty and Students liked the entire program.The main purpose of conducting this event was to create the students' interest towards II Languages and to enlighten the students about the Indian and Foreign Culture ,Tradition and Practices. |
