On 27^th of August, 2009 students of BSc MSCs and BCOM final year along with the faculty members,  Mrs. Jaimole Cross, HOD of Dept. of Statistics and Ms. Jayalakshmi HOD of Dept. of Commerce visited IBS. IBS offers high-quality programs in different areas of management and is ranked 10^th among the B-Schools in India. The event manager of IBS took the students on a guided tour of the sprawling campus of IBS at . The students were then taken to  the Auditorium where they a short film on IBS was screened. IBS boasts of 19 campuses in India. After the film there was a presentation on personality development and soft  skills by the  ICFAI trainers Mr. Ram Mohan and Mr. Vasanth. They also gave important tips to improve communication and interview skills. The session was really helpful and an eye opener to many students. After the session lunch was served to all the visiting students and facult members. It was truly an enriching experience and exposure which not only gave an insight into the oppurtunity the students have after their graduation, but also highlighted the importance of communication skills and pleasing personality and presentation skills. Such exposures make the students aware of the world beyong the boundaries of their own institution and how much they still need to learn is a question that they were forced to ask themselves at the end of the trip.
