An informative programme on ‘Cancer Cervix’ was organized by Women      Development cell on 11th August 2009 ‘m Theatrix’. Dr. Fehmida Banu, MD;DGO;DiNBE;MRCOG; the guest of honour, explained briefly about the cervix cancer through power point presentation.   In her presentation she emphasized on causative agent HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) its infestation in the human body. She advised everyone to go for regular checkups, as there are no symptoms expressed. She expressed her concern about the alarming rate of increase in number of causes of this disease.   As a remedy for this disease, she appealed everyone to get vaccinated, which is available in the market. She introduced the resource person who will supply the vaccine at discount prices for the college.    The Programme was attended by Secretary madam, Mrs.Chaitanya Reddy, Members of lady staff and girl students.
