Bachelor of Science ( Biotechnology, Biochemistry & Chemistry )

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Chemistry (B.Sc) is a three-year degree programme which provides a strong foundation in Biological Sciences, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Genetics.

B.Sc – PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO’s)
A graduate of the Bachelor of Science Program will demonstrate:
PO1 Knowledge: Understand the basic concepts, fundamental principles, and the scientific theories related to various scientific phenomena and their relevancies in the day-to-day life.
PO2 Problem analysis: Analysed the given scientific data critically and systematically and the ability to draw the objective conclusions.
PO3 Programming Skills: Serve as the Programmers or the Software Engineers with the sound knowledge of practical and theoretical concepts for developing software.
PO4 Communication skills: Developed various communication skills such as reading, listening, speaking, etc., which we will help in expressing ideas and views clearly and effectively.
PO5 Instrumentation: Acquired the skills in handling scientific instruments, planning and performing in laboratory experiments.
PO6 Environment and sustainability: Developed flair by participating in various social and cultural activities voluntarily, in order to spread knowledge, creating awareness about the social evils, blind faith, etc.
PO7 Ethics: Imbibed ethical, moral and social values in personal and social life leading to highly cultured and civilized personality.
PO8 Life-long learning: Developed scientific outlook not only with respect to science subjects but also in all aspects related to life.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO’s)
A graduate of the Bachelor of Science BT Program will demonstrate:
PSO.01 To impart in-depth knowledge about biological sciences and inculcate research aptitude.
PSO.02 To apply technological solutions in the area of modern biotechnological applications.
PSO.03 To understand basic facts and concepts in Chemistry while retaining the exciting aspects of Chemistry so as to develop interest in the study of chemistry.
PSO.04 To understand the role of chemistry in nature and society and to apply the principles of chemistry to meet desired needs.
PSO.05 The thorough understanding of the function of biological molecules through the study of their molecular structure.
PSO.06 Necessary understanding of the chemical and regulatory interrelationship between major cellular synthetic and catabolic pathways.
