Akshara Singh

Assistant Professor of Hindi

Dr Akshara Singh joined St. Mary’s College in 2004 and has a teaching experience that spans nearly 25 years. She keeps updating herself with the latest knowledge in her discipline and likes to interact with the students on contemporary issues and topics. Passionate about her work, she sets realistic goals and displays professionalism in her undertakings. She has served the institution as a member of several committees.

M. Chaitanya

MA (French), MA (English), Adv Dip in Spanish, Adv Dip in German

Lecturer in French

Chaitanya has nearly 10 years of experience in teaching, translation and interpretation (French and Spanish). She is proficient at teaching both teenagers and adults. A quick learner who can absorb new ideas and adapt to new challenges, her students greatly admire her teaching skills. She loves European languages and is currently mastering German. She offers two Certificate Courses in Conversational French at St Mary’s College.

G. Chris Lenina Peters

MA, BCS, CoP in Spanish

Lecturer in English

Chris Lenina Peters has worked in several institutions, including as Assistant Professor at Women’s College, Koti. Beyond academics, she spends her time in service of the underprivileged. She was awarded ‘Jewel of Telangana’ by Nexus Éclat Honors Society International, Kansas, USA. Her strong points are her positive attitude, dedication and commitment to her students. In addition to a Masters in English, she has a Bachelors in Christian Studies and also a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish from English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU). She is currently pursuing her PhD in English. She offers a Certificate Course in Conversational Spanish (Level 1) at St Mary’s College.

C. Ismail

Ismail has been in the teaching profession for about 30 years, and joined St. Mary’s Junior College, Yousufguda, in 1997. He has been with St. Mary’s College since its inception. He is dedicated to his profession and has been the Head of the Department of Second Languages and a member of the Examination Committee. He continuously updates himself with the latest in the field of language and literature in order to guide students more effectively.

A. S. Jyotsna

MA

Lecturer in English

Jyotsna teaches English and Soft Skills at St. Mary’s College. She also works with the Telangana State Police in offering Life Skills Sessions for the inmates of Chanchalguda and Cherlapallyprisons. She has nearly two decades of experience in teaching graduate and post-graduate students. She has co-authored a grammar workbook for undergraduate students and is currently working on a book for students of Engineering. She has translated the Hindi book on the principles of Kriya Yoga, Tantrasar, into English, for Belur Math, Kolkata. She received the Best Teacher Award from Ybrant Digital Technologies in 2010. Currently, she is the faculty mentor for VoxPopuli, the Public Speaking Club at St.Mary’s College and is also one of the coordinating members of the NSS Unit.

Maithry Shinde

MA, MPhil, PhD

Assistant Professor of English

Dr. Maithry Shinde has been a passionate teacher for over two decades, facilitating Language, Literature and Soft Skills at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. She has held several administrative and eminent positions like the Head of the Department for English and Humanities, IQAC Coordinator and also the Governing Body Member at Aurora’s Degree & PG College. She has been a resource person at the Judicial Academy for more than eight years. She has also served as a member of the Board of Studies of the Department of English, Osmania University, and has contributed towards the preparation of the department’s undergraduate text book 2016 and also for the CBT (Computer Based Testing) Listening Skills material for four consecutive years. She is a Member of the Board of Studies of the Department of Languages at Bhavan’s Degree College . She is also a Member of the Board of Studies of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University and is contributing towards the preparation of text books for B.A students. She has organized several Conferences, Seminars, Faculty Development Programmes and Workshops. She has several research papers presented and published in national and international journals to her acclaim. Currently, she heads the Department of English & Languages.

J. Michael Preetham

Assistant Professor of English

Michael Preetham has been into teaching and training for nearly 20 years. He has been with St. Mary’s College since 2013, prior to which he worked with several prestigious institutions in India and abroad. He comes across as amiable, industrious, dedicated and cordial. He constantly updates himself with the latest developments in the fields of Literature, Language and Soft Skills. A mentor to many, he makes a positive impact on the lives of his students, colleagues and friends. He is also pursuing his PhD in English. He was earlier the Head of the Department of English and Languages. Currently, he heads the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). 

Saikiran D

MA

Assistant Professor of English

Saikiran taught English at an engineering college before he joined St. Mary’s College in 2016. Prior to taking up teaching, he interned with an advertising agency. His research interests include Masculinity Studies, African-American Literature, Postcolonial Literature and Minority Studies. He has an eclectic approach to acquiring new information and learning new languages. He has Beginner Level Certificates in Russian and Arabic from the University of Hyderabad. Currently, he is also pursuing his PhD in English.

Ramasita Kodali

MA, M.Phil., (PhD)

Lecturer in Sanskrit

Ramasita Kodali joined St. Mary’s college in June 2018. She has been teaching Sanskrit in several reputed institutions in Guntur and Hyderabad since 2006. She earned her Master’s degree from Andhra University and her MPhil is from Sri Chandrasekharendra Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram. She has submitted her Doctoral thesis and is awaiting the award of her PhD. Her fields of scholarship are in the study of Ethics, Mythological Epics and analyses of manuscripts. Her placid and sagacious nature enables students to approach her wholeheartedly.

Vasanth Rao

MA, B.Ed.

Lecturer in Sanskrit

Vasanth Rao has been teaching intermediate and undergraduate students for more than 10 years now. Prior to joining the St. Mary’s College in 2016, he worked with several prestigious institutions at Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam. He is lively and amiable by nature and passionate about Sanskrit. He is committed to making a difference in the lives of his students and friends. He is also an instructor of Yoga and Meditation.

G.Yamini

Lecturer in English

Yamini joined the Department of English in June 2017. Her specialization and area of research is Indian Writing in English. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College, she taught at the undergraduate level for 3 years. She is a highly disciplined and focused teacher. Her classrooms are very interactive and student-centric, with a lot of lively interaction with students. Music being her passion, she enjoys writing verses and singing semi-classical songs. She excels in Indian semi-classical music. Currently, she is the Faculty Mentor of Surmayee, the Music Club of St Mary’s College. She is also pursuing her PhD in English.

Amulya Vunnava

Lecturer in Commerce

Amulya joined St. Mary’s College in June 2018. She has done her Master’s in Commerce with a specialisation in Applied Finance. She has also done a few certification courses offered by NCFM and NISM. She is certified as Market Professional by NCFM. Her profound interest in research has made her publish various papers and articles. She has also participated in various workshops and conferences. Her academic interests are Accounting, Finance and Taxation. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Commerce.

M Bikshapathi

Assistant Professor of Commerce

M. Bikshapathi has over a decade of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. He has been with St. Mary’s College since June 2013. He has participated in several national and international seminars and presented papers. He currently coordinates the Bachelor of Commerce (Computers) programme.

Chandra Sekhar Alladi

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Chandra Sekhar Alladi joined the Department of Commerce in August 2020 with 16 years of experience in teaching and coaching students of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, he was an Assistant Professor with Symbiosis Law School. He possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills and is passionate about teaching and mentoring. He has a Masters in Commerce and in Management. He has also completed his CA (Intermediate). He has presented papers in academic conferences and published articles in research journals. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Commerce from Osmania University.

Deepa Agarwal

M.Com, MPhil; MBA

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Deepa Agarwal has been with St. Mary’s College since June 2008. A dedicated and student-focused teaching professional, she is committed to providing a well-balanced, supportive and learning environment to students. She is hardworking and systematic in planning and execution and shares an excellent professional relationship with her students and colleagues. She is conscious of the variations in student learning styles and abilities and is an effective teacher in diverse classroom environments. During 2017-2020, she was the Head of the Department of Commerce. Currently, she is the Chairperson of the Academic Administrative Audit (AAA) Cell and the Disciplinary Committee of the College. She is also pursuing her PhD in Commerce.

G. Durga Vaidehi

Durga Vaidehi joined the Department of Commerce in June 2017. In addition to her Masters in Commerce, she has also completed CA (Intermediate Group I). A dynamic and popular teacher, she is acknowledged as a fine repository of knowledge of the subject of Accounts. She combines her knowledge of theory with practical application to make her sessions useful and interesting to students. Currently, she is the Faculty Mentor of the Commerce Club.

Gisa George

Gisa George joined the Department of Commerce of St. Mary’s College in June 2018, after completing her Masters in Commerce with a specialisation in Finance. She is passionate about teaching and her positive attitude, dedication and patience are appreciated by all. Her current academic interests are in the fields of Marketing and Advertising. Currently, she is the Faculty Mentor for Serwings, the club for social causes.

P. Harini

Lecturer in Commerce

Harini joined St. Mary’s College in 2008. A dedicated and committed professional with nearly 15 years’ teaching experience, she is focused on bringing IT education to undergraduate commerce classrooms. A dynamic teacher, she inspires and motivates students to be up-to-date with computers. She also takes a personal initiative to address issues related to staff and student welfare. Currently, she coordinates the Bachelor of Commerce (General) programme at St. Mary’s College. She also heads the Women Empowerment Committee of the institution.

D. Jayalakshmi

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Jayalakshmi has been with St. Mary’s College since 2005. A popular teacher, she has consistently played the role of a mentor, providing the students with guidance at all levels. Over the years, she has served the college in diverse roles including as the Head of the combined Department of Commerce and Management, the Head of Degree Programmes and Examinations, the Chairperson of the Women Empowerment Cell (WEC), and the Coordinator for Alumni Relations of the College. An able administrator, she was instrumental in initiating several reforms at the departmental level. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Commerce. 

Kavitha Thakur

Dr Kavitha Thakur is a seasoned teacher with over 20 years of academic experience. She has been with St. Mary’s College since 2006. Always willing to learn new things, she is a keen researcher, with several presented papers in international and national conferences to her credit. She has served the institution in diverse roles and has headed several committees. She has her PhD in Commerce and Management Studies from Andhra University.

Kirti Sunil Bidnur

M.Com.

Lecturer in Commerce

Kirti Sunil Bidnur joined the Department of Commerce in June 2018. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she had 6 years of teaching experience from University of Mumbai. She is currently pursuing her PhD. She has published several research papers in reputed journals. She is very positive and has excellent communications skills. She has been a mentor to many students throughout her teaching career. Her academic interests are in Economics, Law and HRM. At present, she is the Faculty Mentor of the E-Cell of St Mary’s College. She is also the Coordinator of B.Com Advertising.

Pavitrambika Mangari

Assistant Professor of Management

Pavitrambika Mangari joined the Department of Commerce in September 2020, after nearly a decade of teaching management and commerce at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Prior to joining academics, she worked in the corporate sector in HR recruiting, training and BPO for over 6 years. While she has significant experience in academic administration as well, she has also presented papers in a few national conferences.

Priyanka Singireddy

M.Com (Finance)

Lecturer in Commerce

Priyanka Singireddy joined the Department of Commerce in January 2020, after completing her Masters degree in Commerce with specialisation in Finance. A dynamic teacher, Priyanka is passionate about nurturing young minds.
Her hands-on experience in working with industry titans such as Franklin Templeton and Dell help her students to gain perspective of real-time application of commerce concepts. Priyanka is also an avid traveller who loves adventure and exploring new things.

M Raghu Babu

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Raghu Babu joined the Department of Commerce in January 2020. He did his Masters at the Osmania University College of Commerce and Business Management. He cleared his UGC-NET, prior to which he had also successfully completed CA (Intermediate Group 1), along with 3 years of articleship. His love for teaching has made him opt for a career in teaching.

Ravi Kumar Tati

M.Com, MBA, PhD (Finance)

Associate Professor of Commerce

Prior to joining St Mary’s College, Dr Ravi Kumar Tati taught Finance and Accounting courses at European International College, Abu Dhabi. He has 21 years of teaching experience in various universities and business schools across India and abroad. He has been an Adjudicator and Co-guide for doctoral theses. As a Project Management trainer, he has trained senior bureaucrats on Public Financial Management at MCHRD. He has chaired sessions and presented papers in several international conferences and seminars. He has also published 13 articles in international journals, some of which are Scopus-indexed and recognized by ABDC. He has also worked on a UGC-sponsored major research project on Micro-Finance in Andhra Pradesh worth one million rupees. Currently, he is the Head of Research & Consultancy at St Mary’s College.

B. Rupini

Rupini joined the Department of Commerce in June 2019. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she had three years’ experience teaching at the undergraduate level and two years experience in the industry. She has successfully completed CA (Intermediate).

Sri Lakshmi Ramu

M.Com, MPhil, PhD; MBA (Finance); B.Ed;

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Dr Sri Lakshmi Ramu joined St. Mary’s College in June 2019 after having taught commerce and management at the undergraduate and postgraduate level for over 24 years in reputed colleges and business schools across multiple cities. Her enthusiasm and vibrancy endear her to her students.  She was awarded the title of the best faculty member in more than one institution she has worked with. She was also given the Award for the Best Teacher by the Coimbatore Principals Association. Her most recent recognition came in the form of the Academic Excellence Award 2019 for the Best Professor in Cost & Management Accounting by the Academy of Management Professionals (AMP). She has attended several conferences and workshops. She has also published a few papers. Her PhD is, in Commerce, from the Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Sri Sai Chilukuri

Dr Sri Sai Chilukuri joined St. Mary’s College in 2013 after completing his Master’s in Commerce. His passion for academics drove him to choose a teaching career. He has earned his PhD in Commerce from K L University for his work in the area of Banking. His academic interests are Accounting, Economics and Banking. He is a keen researcher and has participated in various national and international conferences and has also published several scholarly articles.

Vinod Kumar Pattathil

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Vinod Kumar joined the Department of Commerce in June 2018. After 23 years of teaching at various levels, he joined St. Mary’s College because of his passion for teaching. He has presented papers in conferences in Delhi and in Hyderabad, and has published papers in a few national journals. His current academic interests are in areas related to Taxation, especially GST. He has a very positive attitude and is known for his strong work-ethic, patience, hardwork and dedication. The ability to build caring relationships with students has held him in good stead during his long teaching career.

Anureetha Das

Anureetha Das is an academic with over 11 years of teaching and leadership experience. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College in 2017, she taught Marketing and Human Resource Management at reputed business schools and colleges. She has participated in various conferences, workshops and faculty development programmes. Anureetha Das is an expert in learning progressions and associated assessment tasks. She has been the Faculty Mentor for Exemplifiers, the Marketing Club of the College, since its founding. Currently, she is the Coordinator of the BBA programme at St. Mary’s College.

M. Bobby

Assistant Professor of Management

Bobby has been teaching and training both postgraduate and undergraduate students for more than 10 years. With a passion for teaching, he believes in nurturing students into role models for the nation. He is an avid reader, prolific writer and effective student counsellor. Currently, he heads the Department of Business Management at St. Mary’s College. He was earlier the Faculty Mentor for the Entrepreneurship Cell at St. Mary’s College and has received formal training from the National Entrepreneurship Network.

Jayasree Muthyala

Jayasree Muthyala joined St. Mary’s College in January 2020, prior to which she had taught Management at St. Joseph’s College, Hyderabad. Jayasree is a highly energetic and effective teacher. Her academic interests are in Finance and Information Technology.

C. Kusuma Reddy

M.Com; MBA, PhD

Assistant Professor of Management

Dr C Kusuma Reddy is a seasoned teacher of commerce and management with nearly 20 years of experience. Her PhD in Management is from Andhra University. A focused researcher, she enjoys writing papers and interacting with fellow researchers at various national and international seminars and conferences. She is committed to her students and has proved to be a popular project guide to many of them. She regularly arranges guest lectures and field visits to help students gain maximum practical exposure. She headed the Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) Cell of the College and was also a member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Currently, she heads the Social Outreach Committee at St Mary’s College. 

Payal Pattnayak

Payal Pattnayak joined St. Mary’s College in June 2018 with three years experience in teaching at the undergraduate level and one year experience in handling accounts of a company in the Automobile Industry. She is passionate about research and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She has written and presented various research papers in International and National Conferences and Seminars. She has also published articles in renowned Journals. She believes in the overall development of students and invests time in motivating and guiding students to excel in all aspects of life.

Palvi Bhardwaj

Assistant Professor of Management

Dr Palvi Bhardwaj is passionate about being a management educator, and holds a PhD in Marketing. She is also an author, speaker and a life skills trainer. She joined the Department of Business Management of St Mary’s College in June 2019. Her research focus is centered on Customer Relationship Management, specifically related to Retail. Factors such as Customer Value and Loyalty, and their implications on Consumer Behavior and related parameters have been of research interest to her. She has presented papers or case studies in many National and International Conferences organized by reputed institutions such as IIM Lucknow and IIM Calcutta. She has also published papers in many leading management journals. 

Rajani Thomas

Rajani Thomas joined the Department of Business Management of St Mary’s College in June 2018 after having taught at the graduate and post-graduate level for over five years. Always academically inclined, she was the topper of her MBA batch. Her areas of expertise are Statistics, Operations Research and Business Analytics. She teaches papers related to Finance and Quantitative Methods. Currently, she is also the Faculty Mentor for Finvesta, the finance club at St Mary’s College.

M. Satya Swaroop Roy

Satya Swaroop Roy joined St. Mary’s College in 2019, prior to which he taught post graduate students of business administration for over six years. A versatile individual, he received the Award for the Best Teacher for his outstanding contribution in his previous institution. His research interests are in Human Resource Management and Finance. His work has been published in several International Journals. He is committed to ensuring that the needs of his students with diverse learning styles and abilities are met. He is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Management from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal.

Anu Victor

Lecturer in Computer Science

Anu Victor has been a lecturer in Computer Science at St. Mary’s College since 2007. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College, she had 6 years of teaching experience, having worked as a lecturer at ICFAI National College, Hyderabad, St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad, and Christ College (now Christ University), Bengaluru. Goal-driven and ambitious, she is an enthusiastic and committed educator with a natural ability to inspire students. Currently, she is also pursuing her PhD in Computer Science. She is the Faculty Mentor of Spectra, the IT Club at St. Mary’s College and is also, the Secretary of the Staff Association of the College.

Aparna Vijayan

Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Aparna Vijayan joined the Department of Sciences at St Mary’s College in June 2019. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College, she had over 15 years of teaching experience, having worked for over eight years at the higher-secondary school level and seven years in reputed colleges in Kerala. She is passionate about Information Technology and is keen on making meaningful contributions to the field. She is also a positive educator with a commitment to mentor and develop students. 

V. Dayananda Babu

Lecturer in Mathematics

V. Dayananda Babu has been with St. Mary’s College since 2005. He has been into teaching and training since 1996. He has served the college in different roles, including as Head of the Examination Division – a position he currently holds – and as a member of various administrative committees. He is currently also a member of the Academic Audit Cell. He is a certified internal auditor for ISO. He is also known for his ability to meticulously plan and organize events and activities. He is a mentor to many students.

Jaimole Cross

Jaimole Cross joined St. Mary’s College in 2004. Prior to joining St.Mary’s College, she had 6 years of teaching experience. A passionate professional, she is proactive and enthusiastic about building and managing the Department of Sciences. She believes in collaboration and in building good teams. A committed teacher with effective discipline skills, she works towards promoting positive behaviour among the staff and students. She has taken up important positions at different times. Her areas of academic interest are Operation Research and Data Analytics. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Sciences and is also a member of the Governing Body of the College. She is also pursuing her PhD in Statistics.

Jerusha Shalini Vaska

Lecturer in Computer Science

Jerusha Shalini Vaska joined St. Mary’s College in August 2020, after having taught engineering students for several years. She has an in-depth understanding of the theoretical aspects and practical application of the field of computer technology and its academic delivery. During her tenure with the prestigious Andhra University College of Engineering for Women, she honed and developed her skills of being able to deliver the extensive subject matter in the field of computer science and technology in a simple yet meticulous manner. Her paper on ‘Clustering Mixed Data using M-CFICA’ was published in the International Journal of Advanced Computer Research (IJACR). Her passion for teaching drives her toward excellence in this field. She is also skilled in building leadership, mentoring young people, event planning, and project management.

Nagendgra Kumar Gollapudi

Lecturer in Mathematics

Nagendra Kumar joined the Department of Sciences as a Lecturer in Mathematics in June 2018, after 8 years of teaching Mathematics to engineering and undergraduate students. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D in Mathematics from JNT University, Anantapur. His areas of academic interests are number theory, and the applications of differential and partial differential equations. Currently, he is a member of the Examinations Committee at St Mary’s College.

Navya Kumari Tenkayala

Lecturer in Chemistry

Navya Kumari joined the Department of Sciences in January 2020, after having taught Chemistry at various levels for over eight years. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she was teaching and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students at Gitam University, Hyderabad. Passionate about teaching, she loves to learn and discover new knowledge. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Chemistry. She has national and international publications to her credit and has participated in international conferences.

Noor Unisa

Lecturer in Computer Science

A passionate learner, Noor Unisa found her calling as a teacher and joined St. Mary’s College in 2017. She now strives to instil that same passion for learning in her students. Before becoming a teacher, she dabbled into web development and strived to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. Earlier, she taught for 2 years at St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad. She was also a national level basketball player. Noor Unisa believes that actively engaging with students is one of the best ways to get them to follow directions and stay on task. She was the Coordinator of the BSc programmes at St Mary’s College. She is currently the Faculty Mentor of Ciencia, the Science Club at St Mary’s College.

Prathyusha Yamarthi

Lecturer in Biochemistry

Prathyusha has been working as a lecturer in Biochemistry at St. Mary’s College since 2016. She is a self-motivated and goal-oriented professional. Having worked with prestigious institutes like the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), she has good demonstrative, technical and analytical skills in biochemistry, which she effectively utilizes to enhance learning. She is well-organized and encourages students to participate in various science events and activities. Presently she is the Faculty Mentor for Dazzlers, the Dance Club at St. Mary’s College. She is also pursuing her PhD in Biochemistry.

D. Ram Prasad

Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Ram Prasad joined the Department of Sciences at St.Mary’s College in June 2019. Having pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Osmania University, Ram started his career as a passionate instructor in Mathematics, exploring mathematical applications across inter-disciplinary sciences. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, he taught Mathematics for six years to students of Integrated M.A and M.Sc programmes at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Hyderabad & Tuljhapur campuses) and Osmania University. Earlier, he worked as a Research Associate in a government textbook revision project, which was a collaboration between APSCERT and TISS, Hyderabad. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Astrophysics. Sandhya joined the Department of Sciences in January 2020. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she was teaching Electronics at Tumkur, Karnataka. She is proficient in her subject and has a passion for teaching, especially using the experimental way. She has evolved innovative teaching methods to make concepts simple and easy-to-understand. Sowjanya has been working as a Lecturer in Electronics at St. Mary’s College since 2009. She is currently also pursuing her PhD in Electronics. A dedicated professional who radiates positive energy, she is active and ever ready to take up new challenges. Her commitment to students is well-known and for many students she is the first person to approach to voice their concerns. Several students, especially international students, have found a caring mentor in her. She has organized many certificate courses as well as co-curricular and extracurricular activities. She has served the institution in many roles including as the Coordinator of BSc programmes. Currently, she is the Head of Student Activities & Alumni Relations at St. Mary’s College and the Chief Advisor to the Student Council of the College.

Sridhar Babu M

Dr Sridhar Babu joined the Department of Sciences of St.Mary’s college in May 2019. Prior to joining St.Mary’s college, he has been into teaching and training for more than a decade and a half. After he received his PhD in Statistics, he has worked with several prestigious institutions/universities in Hyderabad. He has taught statistics courses for undergraduate and postgraduate programs including BBA, BMS, B.Com,B.Sc, MBA, MCA, M.Com and M.Sc. He loves teaching and is a very positive person, always open towards learning new things. His research interest includes Statistical Inference, Statistical Process Control, Acceptance Sampling Plans and Reliability Estimation. He has more than 10 publications in different peer-reviewed journals.

Srinath Naganathan

Dr Srinath joined the Department of Sciences of St.Mary’s college in June 2019. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, he has taught or worked as a researcher across different states of India. After he received his PhD in Biotechnology, he has worked with several prestigious institutions in Hyderabad. He loves teaching and is passionate about developing research skills in the younger generation. Currently, he is the Coordinator of the BSc programmes in St Mary’s College.

Varalakshmi joined St. Mary’s College as a Lecturer in Biotechnology in 2016, prior to which she was teaching at a reputed engineering college. Usha Prameela joined the Department of Sciences in August 2020, bringing with her a varied teaching experience of more than 20 years across undergraduate and postgraduate science and technology education. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she worked as an Assistant Professor in CMR Group of Engineering Colleges and, prior to that, in Malla Reddy Group of Engineering Colleges, Hyderabad. She is currently pursuing her PhD from KL University Vijayawada and her thesis is in the pre-submission stage. Her area of research is Operations Research with specialization in Fuzzy Logic. Her research papers on fuzzy queuing models have been published in SCI, Scopus & Springer journals. She has also attended several conferences and workshops.

Amrit Amlan Pattanaik

Amrit Amlan Pattanaik joined St. Mary’s College in 2016 and has nearly 10 years of experience in teaching at different institutions. He is passionate about visual-storytelling and his areas of interest are documentary photography, graphic journalism and film studies. He is also actively engaged in media pedagogy, and creating and disseminating alternative media content. He has been to the Budapest Metropolitan University as a visiting faculty member as part of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility. He is the Faculty Mentor of the Photography Club. Currently, he is also the Coordinator of the BA Programme at St. Mary’s College.

Arpita Sengupta

Arpita Sengupta began her career as a journalist. From being a professional journalist, she then went on to teach students of journalism. She joined St.Mary’s College in June 2018 as an Assistant Professor after having taught undergraduate and postgraduate students for a year. Given her background as a journalist, her preparation of lesson plans always considers the interconnection between the student’s own background, the subject matter, and current debates in the field.  She chooses content and activities that are both significant and challenging for the students to stimulate them to go ‘beyond’ their comfort zone. She is interested in exploring new ways of disseminating information and the use of new media as a tool for news sharing. She has completed a Diploma course in Television Production and Screenwriting. She has also completed a Diploma in French Language at B1 Level (CEFR), Le Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) “B1”.

T. Ebenezer

Ebenezer comes with an experience of more than 30 years and has been an integral part of the institutions under St. Mary’s Educational Society since 1988. He is known for his dedication and commitment to his subject. He is popular among students not only as a teacher but also as a mentor and counsellor. He has served the college in different roles, including as Vice-Principal, as a Member of the Governing Body and as Chairman of the Examinations Committee. He has a passion for writing and peer teaching. He is an accomplished musician and trains choirs. Currently, he heads the Grievance Redressal Committee of the College.

T. Joseph Christadoss

Joseph Christadoss has been teaching English Language, Literature and Communication for more than 30 years. He has been with the institutions of St. Mary’s Educational Society since 1997. For over a decade, he has been a key member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Mary’s College and was its coordinator during two successive NAAC accreditations. He has been an effective resource person at various national seminars and workshops on quality enhancement in higher education. He also has a doctoral degree and several certifications in Advanced Leadership and Basic Counselling. Currently, he is the Head of the Department for Social Sciences and Communication. He was recognized by the Government of Telangana with the State Award for Meritorious Teachers in September, 2018. He has also won the Indira Priyadashini National Award for Excellence in Education in November 2017.

K.T. Srinivas

K.T. Srinivas has been teaching at institutions belonging to the St. Mary’s Educational Society since 1998. He has an overall teaching experience of over 25 years. He also has rich experience of coaching students for various competitive exams like NDA, CDS and Civil Services. Although he is popularly known as General KT owing to his strict disciplinary approach, he is a friendly teacher, as many a student will vouch for. He is the Faculty Mentor for the Civil Service Study Circle on campus. Currently, he is also the Coordinator of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at St Mary’s College.

Ramesh Kumar

Dr Ramesh Kumar joined the Department of Social Sciences at St. Mary’s College in June 2019 with a decade and a half of teaching and research experience in reputed colleges and law schools. A Doctorate in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad, he has attended several international and national seminars/conferences and has presented and published several papers. His research interests are in the fields of conflict studies and local self government. He has several publications to his credit, most of which are the result of field-based research that he has done in the north-western part of India.

Babita Rajmohan joined St. Mary’s College in 2013 as Public Relations and Placement Officer. She develops and executes all aspects of the public outreach initiatives of the college. She is the single point of contact for all companies looking at hiring St. Mary’s College students and handles both internships and final placements. Currently, she also handles the Human Resources Management for the Academics division of the College. Prior to joining St. Mary’s College, she was Assistant Manager (HR and Training) for the Yashoda Group of Hospitals. She is a vibrant and fun-loving personality. She is full of life, loves to travel and explore new places, and trying out new cuisines.

Annie Antony

Annie Antony is a long distance open water swimmer and a certified swimming coach, holding a Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports [NSNIS] Diploma in Swimming and Aquatic Sports from the Sports Authority of India. She secured the 4th Rank in her Masters in Physical Education and holds a degree in English Language and Literature. She is also a Landmark Graduate from the world famous Landmark Educational Corporation that offers leadership and effectiveness for individuals and organisations. She has extensive experience working with multinational corporations and educational institutions. Currently, she is also the Faculty Mentor for EdFit, the Sports and Fitness Club at St Mary’s College.

Prior to joining the St Mary’s College in June 2018, she has worked in various schools and colleges as an Educational Counsellor, with experience in both the field of education and Counselling. She particularly enjoys and excels at helping and guiding students to set academic and social goals for themselves. Seema Naomi Seth joined St. Mary’s College in the year 2017 after doing her Master’s in Applied Psychology with specialization in Counselling. A highly skilled and dedicated mental health professional, she works towards helping students cope with emotional problems and challenging situations by using a range of psychological concepts and psycho-therapeutic techniques. Rather than simply offering solutions, she encourages them to take their own decisions and assists them by offering a structured and focused way of addressing their problems. She is compassionate and has a sensitive approach to dealing with others. She focuses on promoting safety, understanding and good mental health. Currently, she is also the Coordinator for Student Activities at St Mary’s College.
