Amresh Kumar Awasthi

Lecturer in Commerce

Amresh Kumar Awasthi teaches Commerce and Finance at St Mary’s College. He has nearly a decade and a half of teaching experience across different colleges. He also has eight years of industry experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including a stint as Regional Manager. He is a resource person in the field of personal investment and financial markets. He has also co-authored two undergraduate textbooks. Currently, he is the Faculty Mentor for the Finance Club at St. Mary’s College.

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Bikshapathi has over a decade of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. He has been with St. Mary’s College since June 2013. He has participated in several national and international seminars and presented papers.

Deepa Agarwal

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Deepa Agarwal has been with St. Mary’s College since June 2008. A dedicated and student-focused teaching professional, she is committed to providing a well-balanced, supportive and learning environment to students. She is hardworking and systematic in planning and execution and shares an excellent professional relationship with her students and colleagues. She is conscious of the variations in student learning styles and abilities and is an effective teacher in diverse classroom environments. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Commerce.

DurgaVaidehi G

Lecturer in Commerce

DurgaVaidehiG. joined the Department of Commerce in June 2017. In addition to her Masters in Commerce, she has also completed CA (Intermediate). A dynamic and popular teacher, she is acknowledged as a fine repository of knowledge of the subject of Accounts. She combines her knowledge of theory with practical application to make her sessions useful and interesting to students.

P. Harini

Harini joined St. Mary’s College in 2008. A dedicated and committed professional with nearly 15 years’ teaching experience, she is focused on bringing IT education to undergraduate commerce classrooms. A dynamic teacher, she inspires and motivates students to be up-to-date with computers. She also takes a personal initiative to address issues related to staff and student welfare. Currently, she also coordinates the Bachelor of Commerce programme at St. Mary’s College.

D. Jayalakshmi

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Jayalakshmi has been with St. Mary’s College since 2005. A popular teacher, she has consistently played the role of a mentor, providing the students with guidance at all levels. Over the years, she has served the college in diverse roles including as the Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, and the Head of Degree Programmes and Examinations. An able administrator, she was instrumental in initiating several reforms at the departmental level.

Kavitha Thakur

Kavitha Thakur is a seasoned teacher with over 20 years of academic experience. She has been with St. Mary’s College since 2006. Always willing to learn new things, she is a keen researcher, with several presented papers in international and national conferences to her credit. She has served the institution in diverse roles and has headed several committees.

Putta Padmaja

Putta Padmaja joined St. Mary’s College in 2015, after having taught commerceat the undergraduate level for over 15 years. Her enthusiasm and vibrancyendear her to students. A state-level athlete during her student days, she continues to have a lively and progressive outlook to life and strives for excellence in all her endeavours. Currently, she coordinates the Bachelor of Commerceprogramme at St. Mary’s College.

Raja Rajeswari Chilakamarthy

Assistant Professor of Commerce

Raja Rajeswari Chilakamarthyjoined the Department of Commerce in November 2017. Prior to joining St Mary’s College, she had a year’s experience teaching at the undergraduate level. She was awarded the ‘Outstanding Outgoing Student of the Year’ for her overall performance as an Masters in Commercestudent. She has also successfully completed CA (Group 1).

Sri Sai Chilukuri

Sri Sai Chilukuri joined St. Mary’s College in 2013 after completing his Master’s in Commerce. His passion for academics drove him to choose a teaching career. His academic interests are Accounting, Economics and Banking. He is a keen researcher and has participated in various national and international conferences and has also published several scholarly articles.

T. Vidyasagar

Vidyasagar has over 10 years of experience teaching subjects ranging from Business Law and Taxation to Cost Accounting and Corporate Accounting. He also has about 30 years of industry experience, especially in the field of Accounting. He has been with St. Mary’s College since 2009.
